Barnes signs one-year deal with Stars

06/07/2007 - Frisco, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Dallas Stars announced Thursday that they have re-signed veteran center Stu Barnes to a one-year deal for the 2007-08 season.

The 36-year-old will earn $900,000 for his 16th season in the NHL. Barnes scored 13 goals and had 12 assists for the Stars last season, and tallied a goal and three assists in Dallas' seven-game first round series loss to the Canucks in the playoffs.

Barnes spent time with the Winnipeg Jets, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres before coming to Dallas in 2003. Barnes has scored 249 goals and 325 assists for 574 points in 1,057 career games.
